Teen counselling online: a private space to talk

Teenage years can be loud and lonely at the same time. Exams, marks, friendships, phones, changing bodies and big questions about who you are. Some teenagers shout. Some go silent behind a closed door.

Teen counselling gives your teenager someone outside the family to talk to, who listens without judging and helps them find their own way through.

If you're a teenager reading this

You don't need a big reason to talk to someone. If things feel heavy, confusing or just too much, that's reason enough. What you say stays private, unless you or someone else is in danger.

You might notice

  • Stress about exams and results, from SSLC and Plus Two to entrance exams
  • Mood swings, irritability or anger
  • Pulling away from family or friends
  • Hours on the phone or gaming, and fights about it
  • Worries about body image, friendships or relationships
  • Low motivation, trouble sleeping, or marks slipping

How teen counselling at Ila helps

Your teenager gets a respectful, private space and practical skills for stress, focus, emotions and communication.

We often use approaches such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), which helps teenagers notice unhelpful thoughts and try new ways of responding. Parents get guidance on how to support without pushing.

What sessions look like

  • For teenagers aged 13–18, with a parent or guardian's consent.
  • 60-minute online sessions, usually weekly.
  • Your teenager talks with the psychologist alone. A parent joins the first session and occasional reviews.

Fees

₹900

per session

A parent or guardian books and gives consent for anyone under 18.

What if my teenager doesn't want to come?

Many teenagers are unsure at first. Suggest one session with no promise to continue. Joining online from their own room often feels easier than they expect.

What do you share with parents?

We agree this with your teenager at the start. You'll hear how things are going and how to help. If there's a risk to their safety, we always tell you.

Can you help before board exams?

Yes. A few focused sessions can help with sleep, focus and exam nerves. Book early, as the weeks before exams fill up quickly.
